Job Description
As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of our operations. Your primary focus will be on maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic recommendations to improve financial performance. You will also play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring financial transactions using Tally software.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Generate financial reports for management review and decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the management team.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Prepare financial forecasts based on industry trends and historical data.
Cost Control:
Analyze costs and expenses to identify areas for cost-saving opportunities.
Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.
Review and approve expenditures, ensuring they align with budgetary constraints.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory management processes, including stock valuation and inventory tracking.
Conduct periodic inventory audits to minimize shrinkage and ensure accuracy.
Coordinate with procurement team to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.
Cash Flow Management:
Manage cash flow by forecasting cash requirements and monitoring cash inflows and outflows.
Implement strategies to improve cash flow efficiency and minimize working capital requirements.
Ensure timely invoicing and collections to maintain adequate liquidity.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to assess profitability, liquidity, and solvency.
Identify key financial metrics and benchmarks to evaluate business performance.
Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Tally Software Management:
Utilize Tally software for recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and generating reports.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in Tally database.
Train and support staff in using Tally software effectively.
Team Management:
Supervise and manage finance team members, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and conducting performance evaluations.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of finance team members.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Proven professional experience as a Finance Manager or similar role for at least 3-5 years.
Proficiency in Tally software and advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
