WAREHOUSING, LOGISTICS & PURCHASE INCHARGE (1 Position) 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

A warehousing, logistics and purchase in charge is responsible in ensuring that the supply chain is efficient and effective  throughout the organization. They organize, store and monitor the distribution of goods to ensure items and resources  are on their appropriate place. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE

  • Responsible for Raw Material and Packaging material procurement through strategic sourcing. 
  • Responsible for stores operations.  
  • Responsible for warehouse and logistics operations.  
  • Activities related to the proper discharge of above responsibilities such as planning, budgeting, staffing, training,  alternate vendor development and assessment, establishing controls and processes, legal compliances,  adherence to corporate governance standards regarding procurement processes and supply chains.  
  • Oversee contract development and administration. Periodically monitor and evaluate contracts. 
  • Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls, and processes.  
  • Prepare Purchase Order (PO) for all raw materials, spare parts, fixed assets, and services as per Proforma Invoice  (PI)/quotation/email received from supplier after due approval.  
  • Issue of material, receipt of goods as per established procedures.  
  • Maintaining all the finished goods records. BOM, inventory etc.  
  • Coordination with customers, suppliers, and transport companies; planning, coordinating and monitoring the  receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods.  
  • Monitoring of finished goods according to the date of manufacture. Monitoring dispatches as per schedule in  consultation with commercial manager.  
  • Responding to and dealing with customer communication by email and telephone.  
  • Keeping stock control systems up to date and making sure inventories are accurate.  
  • Waste management – product waste, scrap, hazardous waste. Collection from different locations, storage,  loading and disposal of complete waste/scrap.  
  • Preparation of all required MIS reports and distribution to relevant authorities, in time. 
  • Compliance of regulatory requirements for waste handling and management 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

The ideal candidate for this role should have 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or any other related field.
  • Professional Certification (such as CSCP or CPSM) is an added advantage 
  • 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management 
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
