WHEREAS
BMZ Unganisha is a transboundary project that seeks to restore key natural resources across the Kilimanjaro and Mkomazi landscapes to bring benefits to wildlife and people. The Enduimet Authorized Association (EAA) is the community-based Organization legally formed to manage the Enduimet Community Wildlife Management Area (ECWMA) in the West Kilimanjaro-Amboseli sub-landscape. The EAA has been registered in 2004 and received its Wildlife User Right in 2007. The EAA is formed of 11 villages in the Enduimet division, namely Leremeta, Endonyoemali, lldonyo, Tingatinga, Ngereyani, Elerai, Olmolog, Lerang’wa, Kitenden, Irkaswa, and Kamwanga. The ECWMA lies in Longido district at the Tanzania – Kenya international border to the North, Kilimanjaro National Park to the South-East, Arusha National Park to the South, and Lake Natron Game Controlled area to the West. It serves as an important migratory route and dispersal area for wildlife, and it remains the only corridor connecting the Kilimanjaro ecosystem to others.
The objective of the assignment is the facilitation of the development of the General Management Plan for ECWMA for 2024-2033, engaging the key relevant stakeholders in collaboration and under the coordination of Oikos East Africa (OEA), including communities, in all the stages of the GMP design. Based on the WMA regulation No 381 of 2018 and the template provided in the regulation, the following activities will be carried out:

- With OEA, conduct consultative stakeholder workshops with:
- Draft of the GMP with the support of the ECWMA management team and EAA and under the coordination of OEA to present and approve the GMP draft, especially on the zoning.
Date: 21rst March 2024
- With OEA, consultation of 11 villages through 11 village assemblies to present and approve the draft GMP of ECWMA, especially the zoning.
- Submit the present drafted GMP to the District advisory body for inputs.
- Finalisation of the GMP, including comments and recommendations and submission to the ECWMA, EAA and District advisory body for final approval.

The complete proposals in pdf format must be submitted before Irst April 2024, 6pm to the email address contact@oikosea.org and include the following documents:
A full methodology proposal including a calendar of implementation of a maximum of 5 pages A full financial proposal of maximum 2 pages including any transport and accommodation costs, stationery costs and all-tax inclusive. The costs related to meetings, workshops and focus group discussion to cover food and transport expenses for the participants will be covered by OEA based on the organisation’s policy.

A consultancy supervision committee comprising representatives of ECMWA management team, WWF Tanzania and OEA will review the technical and financial proposals based on the listed above criteria. The two best consultant teams with the highest score will be interviewed by the committee to select the final candidate.
