Location: Arusha, Tanzania

Reports to: Director

Bullet Express is a leading provider of transport services, committed to delivering exceptional quality and efficiency. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Truck Fleet Operation Manager to oversee our fleet operations and ensure optimal performance.

 

Position Summary:

The Truck Fleet Operation Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of our truck fleet. This role will involve planning, organizing, and coordinating all aspects of fleet operations, including maintenance, driver management, route planning, and compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fleet management and a strong understanding of the transportation industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Fleet Planning and Management: Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies to optimize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure maximum uptime. Manage truck bookings and plan weekly truck dispatching plan.

Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee vehicle maintenance programs, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections, to ensure fleet reliability and safety.

Driver Management: Recruit, train, and manage drivers to ensure they meet company standards for safety, performance, and customer service.

Route Optimization: Plan and optimize routes to maximize efficiency, minimize fuel consumption, and reduce operating costs.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation regulations, including safety standards, licensing requirements, and environmental regulations.

Cost Control: Monitor and control fleet operating costs, including fuel expenses, maintenance costs, and insurance premiums.

Performance Analysis: Track and analyze fleet performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize operations.

Technology Implementation: Stay updated on the latest fleet management technologies and implement systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in truck fleet management

Strong understanding of the transportation industry and its regulations

Excellent organizational and planning skills

Proven ability to manage and motivate teams

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Proficiency in fleet management software and tools

Willingness to relocate to Arusha
