Sales Representative Cum Driver gives presentations, demonstrates and sells products or services to potential buyers, and negotiates sales terms.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Delivering sales growth in line with the Annual Sales budget for the route.
  • Collect money from customers, make change, and record transactions on customer receipts.
  • Inform regular customers of new products or services and price changes.
  • Call on prospective customers in order to explain company services and to solicit new business.
  • Visiting prospective customer location and pitching the products
  • Ensuring that all products are distributed across the assigned outlets in route.
  • Ensure that the settlement is done along with Z-report without variance.
  • Ensure truck functions well, taking care of the truck
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
  • Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Ensure that there is no route shortage (Amount) on sales.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all road safety rules are complied.
  • Responsible for Maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
  • Responsible for escalating any problems in the assigned vehicle to the Fleet Supervisor.
  • On timely deliveries of orders/stock.
  • Ensure that the Vehicle expenses are maintained at budget levels.
  • Ensure that all statutory compliances are done for the vehicle through the branch.
  • Responsible for the safety of the Crew.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • At least three years of industry sales experience.
  • Ability to drive manual vehicles (Town ace, canter, eicher, Fuso etc)
  • Familiarity with sales systems/software’s.
  • Proven experience working in a FMCG industry is an added advantage.
