UNICEF is hiring a Senior Operations Associate (GS7) in Zanzibar, Tanzania, for a fixed-term position. This role supports UNICEF’s mission to protect children’s rights, focusing on operational efficiency and impactful service. As the Senior Operations Associate in Zanzibar, you will lead operations in budgeting, finance, procurement, ICT, facilities, and safety, ensuring each area is cost-effective, inclusive, and secure.

This role covers key functions under five pillars:

1. Valuing People: Promote a culture of accessibility, inclusivity, and staff well-being, introducing new team members to operational standards.
2. Valuing Money: Oversee budgets, financial management, and Value for Money (VfM) strategies to support UNICEF’s goals.
3. Valuing Risk Management: Guide risk-informed decision-making, participate in continuity planning, and ensure anti-fraud measures.
4. Valuing Systems and Structures: Process financial control tasks, including budget monitoring and documentation.
5. Valuing Partners: Strengthen partnerships with stakeholders, facilitate contract management, and assist with recruitment logistics.

Qualifications: Secondary education with seven years of experience in administration or finance, or a bachelor’s degree with four years of related experience.
