Mission:

The objective of the Aftermarket Sales Engineer for the Atlas Copco aftermarket products is to be is a key support to realizing business growth for the service business in Tanzania. The sales engineer will be responsible for increasing product offering to customers and bring about growth and move the customers up the service ladder. This role will as well focus on reducing pressure on the other teams and increase focus on sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales for service business including market share with maximized profit.
  • Handle customer parts & service enquiries, maximize sales, and conclude service business with customers3. Support Aftermarket Manager to develop and implement a strategy to achieve the growth and sales targets for parts and service across the customer segments
  • To visit customer frequently and propose parts and service required based on outcome from the field audits
  • Follow up quotations and with speed and quality close the parts and service business with customers
  • Responsible for customer order information and back order reporting to customers.
  • Follow up of receivables’ so payment terms agreed with customers are fulfilled and submitting regular debtors’ follow-up report as required
  • Ensure adequate customer product support, by working closely with capital equipment sales team, MR team as well as warehouse and Logistics team
  • Prepare weekly activity reports for your quotations and customer contacts.
  • Document customer complaints and submit to Aftermarket Manager for analysis and actions
  • Manage Warranty issues related to capital equipment and service offering
  • Adhere to SHEQ policy and other requirements relating to care of equipment
  • Undertake ad-hoc project work as required

Competences, Skills And Experience

  • Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering background or any another related qualification with excellent sales experience.
  • Excellent sales record from similar position with a minimum experience of 2 years in sales of high quality industrial machines, and preferably air compressors.
  • Have a good persuasive and negotiation skill.
  • Adequate knowledge of using
  • MS office tools is required.
  • Good command of French and English languages is required
  • Must have a driving license
  • Dynamic and have a positive attitude
  • Customer focused and result oriented
  • Have a good communication skill with all level of people on the company
