The key purpose of the role of the BOP Operator is the operation of the manual brewing plant and process not associated with PLC control, the execution of maintenance and asset care activities in support of the Brewing Technician Artisan. The BOP Operator also supports the Brewing Technician Operator in the execution of quality control checks.

 

Key roles and Responsibilities:

 

Shift based production performance and processes

  • Operate designated pant and equipment
  • Monitor specific production processes on shift [brewing sub department specific]
  • Ensure process quality and productivity
  • Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Co-ordinate autonomous maintenance and cleaning

 

Shift Team performance

  • Communicate effectively in the workplace

 

Perform administration

  • Ensure application of administration systems and procedures
  • Contribute to self and team development

 

Problem solving 

  • Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles

 

Profile:

  • Matric or equivalent e.g Diploma in Electrical, Automation, Electronics
  • (External) National Diploma or equivalent (External) IOB Certificate
  • IBD certificate
  • Completed brewing learnership
  • CAP/SKAP completed and assessed summative within 12 months
  • 2 – 5 years experience in a brewing environment
  • Previous experience in a process controlled manufacturing environment, ideally in food FMCG products.
  • process understanding of the Brewing process Value Chain from Raw materials transfer to BBT, including E&F throughout to Packaging
  • PC literacy (Microsoft/SAP)
