Position: Information Technology Technician ( IT) 

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Technician at Altezza Travel in Moshi. The IT Technician will be responsible for the following; 

  • Use tools to evaluate, test, and tweak wireless products such as routers and wi-fi bridges.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks and Provide technical support
  • Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
  • Administer network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, virus protection, email security, etc.
  • Perform data backups to ensure all company-owned work is saved.
  • Set up equipment, accounts, passwords, and profiles for new users and employees.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware or software faults, and Change printer cartridges.
  • Repairing and replacing parts as may be required and conducting safety checks on computer equipment.
  • Any other duties may be assigned from time to time by the Company.

 

Academic Qualification & Experience Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar relevant field.
  • Previous working experience as an IT for 3 years.
  • Previous experience in help desk support will be an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing complex IT issues.
