CRS PROPERTIES INSURANCE – DAR ES SALAAM, MBEYA AND KIGOMA
Background
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) was founded in 1943 by the Catholic Bishops of the United States to serve World War II survivors in Europe. Today, it is the official international humanitarian agency of the U.S. Catholic community. It provides support to impoverished and disadvantaged people in over 100 countries based solely on need, regardless of their race, religion, or ethnicity.
In Tanzania, CRS operates through its Catholic Relief Services (Tanzania program), which is registered as a not-for-profit organization since the 8th of February 1968 and it has its main office in Dar es Salaam and sub-offices in Kigoma and Mbeya regions. Today, the program in Tanzania supports agriculture, health system, institutional strengthening, vulnerable children and youth programming, and integrated water resource management projects that interweave socioeconomic empowerment and gender transformation.
2.0 Purpose:
The purpose of this public tender notice is to procure comprehensive insurance coverage for all properties owned or managed by CRS at its offices in Mbeya, Kigoma, and Dar es Salaam. The selected insurer will provide appropriate coverage to mitigate risks associated with property damage, loss, or liability through suitable insurance policies. This initiative aims to ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations related to property insurance.
Tender Documents:
The comprehensive tender documents are accessible from March 20 to March 25, 2024, during regular office hours. Specifically: Monday to Thursday from 08 am to 5 pm and Friday from 08 am to 2 pm. Interested bidders are invited to collect a hard copy of the tender document at the CRS office or can request a soft copy. Requests for tender documents should be submitted on a company letterhead signed by the Director/Manager of the company in hardcopy or via e-mail to Elizabeth Sendama, at elizabeth.sendama@crs.org. Please use the Subject line: “Request for Tender Documents: “003 – FY24 – Property Insurance at Catholic Relief Service in Dar es Salaam Office Mbeya and Kigoma” in the subject line. The Request for tender document will not be accepted after March 25, 2024.
The deadline for submission of the completed and sealed Tender documents is on or before 28 March 2024 at 4 pm.
