REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
EmpowerHER through Skills (EHS) is an IMS Foundation funded project in Tanzania. This project is implemented by Swisscontact, and aims to enhance employment opportunities for young mothers, aged between 15-30, through improving vocational skills development (VSD) in Tanzania.
The EHS project is looking for training concepts, backed by proposals for how to implement the concept, relating to skills suitable in the district councils of Handeni, Korogwe, Muheza, Pangani and Tanga City in the Tanga region. The proposals can include agricultural and non-agricultural activities such as Tailoring, Baking, Cookery, Weaving, etc. as long as they are suitable, opportunity-driven and can generate employment and income for the young mothers.
Accepted proposals would be implemented with the help of IMS Foundation project funds.
The concepts should be targeted at young mothers’ employment opportunities, depending on the applicant’s area of interest and expertise, as well available income earning opportunities. (Please refer to the definition of young mothers below.)
