ANNOUNCEMENT OF TEMPORARY JOB POSITIONS THROUGH THE SPECIAL PROGRAM FOR COTTON DEVELOPMENT IN TANZANIA
Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) is collaborating with the Ministry of Agriculture to implement the youth engagement program in agriculture under the Building a Better Tomorrow (BBT) initiative. This program aims to create 20,000 jobs for youth and women through skill development (internships), establishing 12,000 economic activities at the village level, and promoting large-scale farming (Block farms) by the year 2030.
As part of the strategy to strengthen agricultural extension services in the country, the Ministry of Agriculture has also planned to implement a special extension service program through graduate youths under the BBT Agricultural Extension Entrepreneurship Scheme (BBT AEES). Through this scheme, 2,000 positions are required to be filled by agricultural graduates to provide extension services for cotton farming through temporary employment, as follows:
How to Apply
All applications should be accompanied by:
a) Copies of birth certificates, NIDA, secondary education certificates, diplomas, and degrees from recognized institutions accredited by the government. Prospective graduates (2024) with the above-mentioned qualifications are encouraged to submit their applications, also attaching copies of partial transcripts or result slips.
b) Two recent passport-size photos of the applicant.
c) A Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the applicant, including a complete address, phone contacts, email, and the addresses of three reliable referees.
All applications should be sent to the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Sokoine University of Agriculture via email at [email protected], with a copy to the Director of Undergraduate Studies at Sokoine University of Agriculture at [email protected]. Applicants are advised to send their applications via email, although they may also submit them directly to the mentioned offices.
