Alien: Romulus Official Teaser Trailer

A terrifying experience in space is about to begin as 20th Century Fox releases the official teaser trailer for the upcoming sci-fi film Alien: Romulus. View trailer below.

Set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), the story concerns a group of young space colonizers who, while scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.

I was wondering when the first preview for this movie would be coming out. While I have known about the Alien film series but was always “too scared” to what it, for I actually saw the movies (the first four Alien movies) right before Prometheus came out. Given the lukewarm reception that Alien: Covenant received, it felt like the Alien franchise was dead. However, this new teaser trailer seems to breathe new life into an old series, which promises to forgo the convoluted tale of the Engineers from Prometheus and Convenant and return in a “back to basics” formula of what made the movie series great. All in all, the jury still might be out about this particular installment in the long running franchise, but Romulus does look to be poised to bring the series back to its terrific (and terrifying) sci-fi horror roots.

Alien: Romulus  arrives in theaters on August 16th, 2024
