Position: Audit Manager

Location: Dar es Salaam

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 10

• Assist in development and coordination of the bank’s internal auditing activities.
• Assist in Developing and implementing internal auditing policies, procedures, and program.
• Review of accounting procedures.
• Survey functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations, and adequacy of the system of control to achieve established objectives.
• Supervise or conduct independent audits of bank records and activities, and prepare varied analyses of the departments, and branches.
• Supervise, conduct, and report on the testing and adequacy of the bank’s internal controls over financial reporting.
• Investigate and determine causes of irregularities, and errors.
• Recommend corrective action and suggest improvement.
• Advise top management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors on audit, and internal control matters.
• Prepare reports for each audit and investigation assignments
• Develop audit plan for each assignment to be carried out
• Participate in development of Internal Audit’s annual budget and monitors subsequent expenditures

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES: NOT MORE THAN 5 OF THE MOST TYPICAL

• Undertake audit and advisory assignments under the direction of the Head of Audit.
• Organize audit working paper files for each assignment
• Identify and escalate significant audit issues and propose practical recommendations for implementation.
• Undertaking stakeholder engagements.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Academic & Professional

• Education Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor of Commerce in Account/Finance RQ
• Professional Qualifications CPA/ACCA RQ
• Master’s Degree Relevant AA

Experience

• Total Minimum No of Years’ Experience Required 3-5
• Experience in Audit 3 ES
• Data analytics 2 ES
• Banking Operations 2 DE
• Any experience a staff has in in areas with blanks is an ADDED ADVANTAGE.
