Responsibilities
- To assist in preparing and analyzing various operational and financial reports for various stakeholders.
- To assist in the preparation and providing analysis of the group’s annual budgeting exercise.
- To assist in capital raising, refinancing and acquisition of projects.
- Assessing and identifying areas for improvement in the Company’s business processes
- Financial planning and analysis.
- Business plan development (market research and business intelligence collation)
- Donor/stakeholder / JV management and reporting
- Management of the lenders’ financial covenants relating to the debt facilities.
- Reporting to lenders as per their treasury and reporting requirements
- Assisting the finance function with liquidity and cash flow projections
- Maintaining and updating the group financial model for reporting to the lenders and shareholders
- Engaging with current and potential lenders and other stakeholders relating to financial needs
- Contractual (Grant, JV, Supplier, PPA, Term sheets, tenancy agreements, etc.) and Tender administration and management

Knowledge and Experience
- Must also have demonstrable experience in Business Analysis.
- Must be deadline-oriented and pay attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ideally, experience in maintaining and operating complex financial models and budget tools
- An accounting qualification CPA, CA, ACCA or CIMA would be preferred.
- Must have a relevant bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, science, engineering etc, MBA, MSc, etc.)
- Must have at least 3 – 5 years’ exposure in Business Analysis in; • Banking • Corporate Finance / Operational Finance Experience • Engineering • Management Consulting / Business development / commercial experience within the renewable sector
- A thorough understanding of accounting procedures, controls and reporting attained through experience would need to be demonstrated
- Competency in financial modelling
- Computer literacy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to forecast cash flow needs and provide supporting treasury support/recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
