Lunch in Division Twopublished at 13:11
Glamorgan have had the better of things at Headingley but lost a second wicket to the final ball of the morning session.
Billy Root is judged to have got a thin edge to Dan Moriarty’s ball, it deflects off his pad and Finlay Bean takes the catch at short leg.
Root is furious – he believes he did not touch the ball – but he goes for a fine 51 as the visitors reach lunch at 92-2, with Sam Northeast unbeaten on 27.
Derbyshire’s good start has been checked after being put in at home by Sussex, slipping from 79-2 to 95-4 at lunch.
They lost David Lloyd (14), Brooke Guest (22), and then Wayne Madsen (6) and Matthew Lamb (2) in quick succession.
But at least opener Luis Reece is still there on 38 with Aneurin Donald.
And we’re still waiting for a let-up in the rain and the toss at Lord’s where the covers remain on.
