Before we say goodnight, let’s have a quick recap of day three, in which we’ve seen three sides pick up wins.

In Division One, Essex enjoyed a massive victory over Lancashire – by an innings and 124 runs – and Durham beat Worcestershire.

Meanwhile, Middlesex got the better of Yorkshire in Division Two.

Elsewhere, Surrey are well on top against Kent and should wrap up victory tomorrow barring any weather related hold-ups.

A special mention to double centurions Joe Clarke, who is unbeaten on 209 against Somerset, and Karun Nair who struck 202 not out as his Northamptonshire side posted 605-6 before declaring against Glamorgan.
