The London Clinic didn’t say anything about the speculated security issues but, according to The Mirror, said, “We firmly believe that all our patients, no matter their status, deserve total privacy and confidentiality regarding their medical information.” Kensington Palace didn’t engage and simply said, “This is a matter for The London Clinic.”
Although neither the clinic nor the palace spoke about the situation directly, someone from the Information Commissioner’s Office said, “We can confirm that we have received a breach report and are assessing the information provided.” The ICO works in the United Kingdom “to uphold information rights in the public interest,” according to their website.
