Position: Customs Clearance Coordinator

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in import/export operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Operations, Logistics
- Management, Customs Compliance, or related fields.
- Experience preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Must be a registered member of the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board.
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the importation of goods and materials, including scheduling shipments and managing logistics operations.
- Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely clearance of goods and delivery to the destination.
Monitor shipment status and track inventory to ensure on-time delivery and minimize disruptions. - Ensure compliance with customs regulations, tariffs, and import/export laws.
- Assess potential risks related to import operations and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions and financial liabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with vendors to optimize costs and improve service levels while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Core Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export laws, and trade compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in import/export software, customs brokerage systems, and logistics management tools.
