Wolves have had their fair share of decisions go against them this season and have had referees’ chief Howard Webb apologise on more than one occasion.
After Nottingham Forest’s explosive statement on X, which called into question the integrity of VAR official Stuart Attwell, VAR and decisions continue to be in the spotlight.
Wolves boss Gary O’Neil has now hinted he could be in favour of scrapping VAR.
“The technology doesn’t
seem to have cleared things up as we hoped it would. I doubt very much
they are considering removing it but I do think at a stage we’re at it’s a
definite consideration,” he said.
“I’ve never been in that camp, I’ve always thought
VAR would be a big benefit to the game – maybe it hasn’t been as much as a
benefit as I expected.
“Forest can handle their situation however
they want. I’m sure the FA and whoever else Is involved will deal with it
accordingly.”
