The company is registered under TIN 107 141 103 and our operations are in Mara Region, Tabora Region, Shinyanga Region, Simiyu Region and Kigoma Region. We are currently looking for an Environmental and Conservation Trainer to be part of our team.
Role’s Summary:
The Environmental and Conservation Trainer plays a pivotal role in Mwiba’s conservation commitment by leading educational programs, conducting ecological surveys, and enforcing conservation policiesacrossthe operational areas covering Meatu, Mara and Arusha. This position is critical for enhancing community engagement, monitoring local ecosystems, and training our team members on implementing effective conservation strategies.
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement educational and training programs in environmental conservation and sustainability.
Work with environmental experts, sustainability managers, local communities, conservation organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, and businesses to enhance program content and reach a wider audience and stakeholders which will enable a continuous update and enhancing curriculum materials to reflect new scientific discoveries, policy changes, and best practices in the field.
Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs through participant evaluations, feedback surveys, and performance assessment to refine and improve educational offerings.
Understands and adheres to compliances standards as they appear in the Company Policies, Employee Code of Conduct, Non – Disclosure Agreement and keep abreast of all United Republic of Tanzania, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS
Education:
Bachelor Degree / Masters in Environmental studies or any other related field.
Proven proficiency in computerized applications to Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)and basic Google Suite.
Experience and Skills:
Ten (10) years applied working experience in Environmental management, or similar.
Must be able to maintain physical stamina to personally lead their area of responsibility.
Assertiveness, patience and good organizational skills.
Have the ability to work through periods of high demand and be ready to work after hours or on weekends.
Personal Attributes
Highly motivated, self-disciplined and well organized.
A meticulous degree of pride in their personal presentation.
A passion for the industry, have a positive attitude and the ability to think out of the box.
Be able to work independently.
