Position: Finance Officer / Finance Assistant

MakiniHR Solutions is hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Finance Officer / Finance Assistant based in Dar es Salaam! If you have a passion for finance and a desire to work in a dynamic environment, this role could be the perfect fit for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and control budgets.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
- Provide financial administrative support for the Business Unit.
- Handle financial, operational, and sales reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage Accounts Payables (AP) and Accounts Receivables (AR) transactions.
- Oversee banking transactions and reconcile bank accounts and the general ledger.
- Assist the Finance Manager with statutory compliance, risk, and governance matters.
- Collaborate with the Administration Officer to ensure effective administrative housekeeping.
- Manage customer accounts and handle financial communications.
- Support financial planning and management for the Business Unit.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- 3-5 years of extensive experience in Accounting & Finance within the FMCG environment.
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Proven proficiency in Syspro, SAP, and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Ability to work independently and perform well under pressure.
- A solid understanding of the finance department process flows.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Finance/Accounting, or any related Financial Accounting qualification.
