Position Overview: 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Grant Management and Impact Advisor to lead our grant acquisition and management efforts. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our projects are well-funded and effectively implemented, maximizing our impact in the field of conservation.

  • Location: Tanzania Country Office – Arusha 
  • Reporting to: Country Director
  • Contract Type: Full-time 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Grant Acquisition: Identify, research, and apply for grant opportunities from various funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, and international organizations. 
  • Project Management: Oversee the development and implementation of grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organizational standards. 
  • Impact Assessment: Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of funded projects and report on outcomes to stakeholders. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to provide guidance on grant-related matters and ensure alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Capacity Building: Provide training and support to staff on grant writing, management, and reporting best practices. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • A degree in environmental science, conservation, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant management, preferably in the conservation or non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record in developing successful grant proposals and managing donor relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in impact monitoring, evaluation methodologies and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Passion for conservation and a commitment to making a positive impact. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)
  • Ability to handle various tasks without feeling overwhelmed.
