Job Description
In line with the Group/Regional/OpCo Marketing, manages the marketing function in building a strong brand that will grow the business by implementing and monitoring the Group marketing strategy, policies, processes, and procedures in line with the business strategy.
Implementation of communications strategy with consistent product positioning and messaging that differentiates the company products in the market to broaden business impact
Responsibilities
Brand
- Executes a marketing and communications plan (incorporating budget).
- Executes and launches monthly brand and PR initiatives to build and maintain a strong reputable brand.
- Works as a brand ambassador ensuring all guidelines are adhered to and all corporate, marketing and sales support materials are creatively engaging and relevant.
Events
- Executes end-to-end event management, from: fast start initiatives, industry events to client entertainment or bespoke customer events, Press Conferences, Product Launch,
- Executes demand generation campaigns to drive lead generation across all appropriate channels.
Coordinates keynote presentations for delivery by our Executive Team.
Marketing:
- Coordinate agencies to ensure locally relevant and engaging content is posted to drive company brand presence and grow our clientele base
- Coordinate an acute awareness of the topics and opinions pertinent to the digital marketing and programmatic technology landscape, driving thought leadership and awareness of management opinions, products and services through PR and Social channels.
- Ensure global as well as local marketing plans are executed effectively and on time.
- Coordinate digital and print collateral to articulate company’s technology and service capabilities.
- Work with Solutions Managers and ensure timely launch of new products and value-added services
Communication
- Collaborates with internal teams, Tz Exco, sales, products, partners, customers, group marketing team and agencies on key initiatives to plan and prioritize tasks by using all the mediums but not limited to the most common digital platforms
- Develop and review presentations to ensure entire communications fit standards of internal marketing
- Coordinate an acute awareness of the topics and opinions pertinent to the digital marketing and programmatic technology landscape, driving thought leadership and awareness of management opinions, products and services through PR and Social channels
- Managing and maintaining relationships with Marketing Research Houses
- Research, market insights and analysis with liaison with East Africa Marketing team and TZ Exco to coordinate on research market insights and analysis as required from time to time
Knowledge and Experience
- University Degree in Business/ Commerce majored in Marketing or in a related discipline
- At least 2 – 3 years working experience in a similar role
- Experience in managing agencies and 3rd party vendors
- Possess strong project management skills
- Media and events management experience
- Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods.
- Thorough knowledge of strategic planning principles and marketing best practices.
