Key Responsibilities
Ensure all types of maintenance work are carried out safely, always preceded by a risk assessment.
Plan and allocate daily maintenance tasks to employees and ensure all necessary resources are provided.
Ensure timely adherence to all recommended maintenance and lubrication schedules.
Manage the workforce on a day-to-day basis to execute both planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance tasks.
Inspect equipment during both operation and stopped conditions to identify abnormalities before they lead to breakdowns.
Respond to breakdowns as they occur, ensuring sufficient resources are utilized to restart equipment in the shortest time possible.
Plan for spares and sub-assemblies to ensure timely availability, and monitor stock levels. Initiate procurement in consultation with the HOD for timely replenishment.
Contribute to all major shutdown activities from the preparatory phase.
Ensure that all tasks are logged and completed through the ODOO ERP system.
Participate actively in skill development activities such as On-the-Job Training (OJT).
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in the cement industry is desirable.
