Job Title: Cashier

Reports To: Head Cashier/ Accountant, General Manager and Managing Directors

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and friendly cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be able to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. As a cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers & Waiters handling cash, M-Pesa and credit card transactions and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
• Handle cash, M-Pesa and credit card transactions speedy, accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist customers with any questions or concerns they may have.
• Count and balance cash drawer at the end of each shift.
•  Communicate returns and exchanges.
• Maintain Security of the Cash drawer

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school, diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Computerized cashiering through POS.
• Prior experience as a Cashier or in a similar role preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to handle cash transactions during busy hours accurately and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends, night shifts and holidays as needed
• Fluent in English and Swahili – both spoken and written
