Position -Project Officer – Rotational Crops Systems
Location -Singida Region
Focus
Support ecological farming, research and development on rotational cropping, soil management and bio-pesticides improvement.
Supporting Biosustain company in improvement of the extension system.
Coordinate and support improvement of rotational cropping systems and farmer’s adoption to systematic rotation, use of quality seed and soil fertility enhancement.
Support Biosustain in coordination of product aggregation, handling and market linkage.
Monitoring, evaluation, and learning, including data collection, management, and reporting.
Education:
BSc in Crop Sciences, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agroecology, Food science, or other related field with preference on climate change, business and marketing.
Professional experience:
Understanding of basic knowledge and principles of climate change and adaptation/mitigation strategies, organic farming, rotational cropping.
Understanding of basic knowledge and principles of business facilitation and marketing.
