Ishq Murshid has become a phenomenon. The story is based in a fantasy world and runs like a fairytale for sure. Shahmeer Skiandar/Fazal Bakhsh played by Bilal Abbas Khan is the highlight of the show while his chemistry with Shibra played by Durefishan Saleem is what people are admiring. The drama is in its dragging phase now where the story is not moving forward but it is getting high TRPs and views on YouTube due to its massive fan following.
Many of the industry seniors and veterans have given negative views on Ishq Murshid lately. They have called it out on its fantasy genre story line, the bright lights on the leads making them shine all the time and “overacting”. Waseem Abbas said that he finds Bilal overacting in the drama. Later on, Shamoon Abbasi has also pointed out that the technicalities of Ishq Murshid are not something that he can decipher. He pointed out that the lighting on the faces of the leads look like torches and they are completely outdated which he cannot understand.
Television seniors Marina Khan, Nadia Khan and Sadia Imam have also reviewed Ishq Murshid and they are not too impressed with the drama recently. They also applauded Bilal Abbas Khan losing to Hamza Ali Abbasi’s Jaan e Jahan in their recent review:
