Shehnaz Sheikh is the OG national crush of Pakistan. Starting her career from Ankahi, she became a star overnight and she never looked back. Though Shehnaz stopped acting in dramas years ago, she is still one of the most favourite stars of the nation and whenever she is seen at any public event, her fans go gaga for her. She will soon be seen hosting a talk show on PTV but she will not be making a comeback in acting any time soon.
Talking to BBC Urdu, Shehnaz Sheikh revealed the salary she got for her biggest hits Ankahi and Tanhaiyan. She shared that she was paid 800 rupees per episode for Ankahi and at that time, this was the money top actors were getting. Accommodation, travelling and wardrobe was also something that actors had to manage themselves. Later on she was paid 1000 rupees per episode for Tanhaiyan when she had become a big star.

She also shared her opinion on the advent of social media. She said that yes, she cannot even imagine the fear of always getting filmed which young actors have. She lived a very free life when people did not have cameras. She is a fan of social media and loves to scroll through feed and watch Tiktoks.
