STTA Grant Assistant (Consultant)
Position Summary:
The Grants Assistant (Consultant) will assist the Grants team on Close-out processes. He/ She will work under the supervision of the Lead Grants Manager and will support her in all matters related to grant management, grant reporting and subcontracting. The Estimated Level of Effort: 60 proposed to commence April 15 – June 30, 2024.
Reporting & Supervision:
The Consultant will report to the Grants Manager and work closely with other Grants Managers.
Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare the official close out notification letter of grantees.
- Conduct final vetting of grantee’s beneficiaries prior to submitting grant closeout request to Lead Grants Manager.
- Work with the Grants Managers in the reconciliation request to be send to finance .
- Using the grant closeout checklist, ensure grant records and all required documentation in SMART are complete and that the grant files in SharePoint are organized and audit ready.
- Maintain supporting documentation in SharePoint and ensure all required documents are uploaded to SMART—
- Maintain up to date all grant trackers.
- Ensure the accuracy of information.
- Save all grant documentation up to date in SharePoint in accordance with grant checklist.
- Conduct final review of grant closeout checklist and associated grant documentation prior to submitting grant closeout request to the Grants Manager
- Prepares Grant Completion Certificate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma in administration, management, or other relevant field.
- Must have at least 1+years of experience related to the position.
- Familiar with all MS Office applications.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- U. S government (USAID preferred) administrative compliance experience.
- Ability to work with and achieve results with a diverse group of staff located in different countries (Preferred).
- Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
