Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain was a famous Pakistani television host who rose to fame through his religious program Aalim Online. He was the pioneer of Ramadan the transmissions in Pakistan. He began the Ramadan transmission on Geo Television. He also initiated the game shows. His show Inaam Ghar became extremely popular. Two years ago, Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away. This is the second Ramadan Ul Mubarak without him. Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s family and fans are still in grief. Lately, a Former Aalim Online producer Syed Ali Imam spoke to Raftar TV, where he opened up about Dr. Aamir Liaquat’s initial days of success after his show Aalim Online became popular.
Reflecting on this period, he stated, “When the first Ramadan came after his success, our show was scheduled in Dubai. We all thought that Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain would stay in a five-star hotel while we would be accommodated in a more modest place. However, he didn’t do that and said, ‘There will be no VIP treatment; I will be staying with my kids.’ And for seventeen years, he honored his commitment. During Ramadan, he would join us outside after the show, purchase expensive clothing for us, and treat us to dinners. He never used funds from the producers’ budget which was already allocated by the channel, he used to cover all the expenses himself.” Here is the link to the video:
Aamir Liaquat also reportedly tried to commit suicide before he was a famous anchor. The story was published by Jaffar Rizvi in a news article for BBC. He was in a depression when he ate the medicines in a large quantity, he was worried because of a family issue, although, he was given a timely treatment and was saved. The producer said, “we spent seventeen years with him but we never felt that he could be the one suffering from anxiety or depression” . Waseem Badami said that Dr Aamir Liaquat was hands down the most talented person and he said expressed it multiple times in his life as well.
