The Van Salesman will be responsible for promoting and selling products from the company van. They will need to have excellent customer service skills as they will be dealing with customers on a daily basis. They should be able to upsell products and promote any special offers that the company has. They will need to have a good knowledge of the products that they are selling in order to answer any questions that customers may have. The Van Salesman will need to keep the van clean and tidy at all times as this is a reflection of the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Transporting and delivering goods to customers
- Maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new ones
- Negotiating prices and discounts with customers
- Completing paperwork related to sales transactions
- Ensuring that the van is clean, stocked, and organized
Objectives
- To increase sales and grow the van sales territory by building relationships with new and existing customers and providing excellent customer service
- To develop a strong product knowledge in order to effectively sell and promote products to customers
- To achieve monthly targets set by the company
- To maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales figures and customer information
- Van Salesman Job Skills & Qualifications Needed
- A van salesperson must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- They should be familiar with the products they are selling and be able to answer questions about them.
It is also helpful if they are familiar with the area in which they will be working, as this can make it easier to find customers and make sales.
